A Joy in the Making!

While over at Mom and Dad's house this evening, I decided to borrow the Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner that we have as part of GalleryMedia. It doesn't get a whole lot of use, and most of the time, when it does get used, its not used correctly. I have been wanting to get some of the pictures that Katie and I took during the Wedding and the Honeymoon onto the iBook to show people when I am out and about... plus, I want to get them on the web.

I hooked up the scanner to the iBook, and downloaded the software for the Mac from Epson's Website. Once installed, I went to Photoshop CS and chose to import the pictures. Usually, before, when I did this, I had to preview the scan-select the area I wanted to scan, one photo at a time-then scan them... to my surprise, the scanner took off and automatically scanned, sized, and seperated the pictures on the bed!! I was totally Amazed. The pictures were excellent quality too! I think scanning just got a little bit better here in the Asay Household...

Photo This!

Apple has released today, it's latest additions to the super line of iPods. I am so happy there is now a 60GB model, but to call it a PhotoPod is stupid! I can't believe they would disseminate the ingenious name of iPod with that description. If it took pictures then that would be awesome to call it that, but c'mon... The PhotoPod?? Dumb.

I am not sure the color screen is that great either. I am still perfectly happy with my monochrome screen. I don't ever look at it that much anyway. I would love to look at your pictures at a poor resolution.. Please.

That said, I did order a 60GB version as a demo... we'll see if it grows on me? : )
